Zac and Kate wed under a homemade archway made from driftwood with an amazing backdrop of Muriwai's Maori Bay. The rain clouds left just in time for Kate's father to walk her down the path and across the rich black sand to give her away. The bride looked simply stunning in a creative spin on a traditional wedding dress, which was ever so fitting for their beach theme. You couldn't dream up a more perfect beach wedding if you tried. There were countless amounts of handmade details that were put into this day by all who surrounded them.
Zac and Kate both grew up in Muriwai on Auckland's ruggedly beautiful West Coast. Growing up in a small community together, it wasn’t until one night when Zac's "sweet dance moves" caught her attention that she couldn't keep her eyes off him… according to Zac. Unbeknown to the couple, Kate's sisters had actually been planning their marriage a year before they had even got together. A story that was meant to be. After a year of dating, Zac couldn't wait any longer and with a very sweet touch, proposed to Kate on the cliff tops overlooking their backyard where they were soon to be married.
The reception was held at Kate's beautiful family home. Not only was their home built by her father, but he also hand crafted all the tables, chairs and finer woodwork items made especially for their big day. So much love! They celebrated the joining of these two souls and shared a few drinks overlooking the magical backdrop of Muriwai at sunset. Perfection.
A big thanks for having us along. We hope you two have the most amazing adventure in Mexico.
